Annika Sorenstam 1970-, Swedish golfer. Acclaimed by many as golf's greatest female player, she dominated the game in the late 1990s and early 2000s. She played for the Swedish national team (1987-92) and the Univ. of Arizona (1990-92), becoming world amateur champion in 1992. Turning professional in 1993 in Europe, she became a full-time LPGA player in 1994; she was named rookie of the year both seasons. In a meteoric rise, she became golf's number one female player in 1995 and subsequently captured that crown seven more times. In 2003 Sorenstam became the second woman in history to play in a men's PGA event (the first was Babe Didrikson Zaharias in 1945). When she retired in 2008, she had set a record for career earnings by a woman golfer and won ten major titles.

Miesha "Takedown" Tate 11-2 (born August 18, 1986) is a professional female mixed martial artist. She has fought in Strikeforce and is the current Freestyle Cage Fighting Women's Bantamweight Champion. She has also competed and won a silver medal in the FILA Grappling Championships.

Tate wrestled on the boys' wrestling team in high school. In 2005, she won the high school women's state championship and went on to win nationals at the World Team Trials in the 158lb division.Soon after, Tate joined a mixed martial arts sport club at Central Washington University that was run by her current boyfriend and trainer, Bryan Caraway.

Miesha graduated into professional MMA in 2007 at the one-night HOOKnSHOOT Women's Grand Prix. "Takedown" recently participated in the 1-night Strikeforce 135-pound women's tournament on August 13, 2010 at ShoMMA 10. A random drawing was held on the day of the weigh-ins to determine 1st round matchups and Tate defeated Maiju Kujala by Unanimous Decision to advance to the tournament final. Tate then defeated Hitomi Akano by Unanimous Decision after three rounds to become Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Tournament Champion.

Fabio Cannavaro was brought to us by the city of Naples, Italy on September 13, 1973. He grew up in Fuorigrotta, a suburb of Naples with an older sister, Renata, and a younger brother Paolo, who also plays in the Serie A. Born to Gelsomina and Pasquale Cannavaro, he was exposed to soccer as a child as his father played for the Italian League’s Giugliano. Cannavaro like many other young children it Italy, played street soccer, but for him it was within eyesight of the stadium he would soon play in, San Paolo Stadium. He joined Bangoli, a team in a near Neapolitan town at eight years old and played midfielder. Here he was scouted by Michael Hutchinson, who worked for Newcastle. At only twelve years old, his talent was evident, and Hutchinson who had 16 years of experience, trained the young Cannavaro in defensive skills. Soon Napoli recruited him to join their club, and he participated as a ball boy during the Napoli’s height, when Deigo Maradona reigned. It was then the world got a taste of the man who would eventually be the world’s best player, and an international star had begun to shine.
