Biography:
Alex Rodriguez is a Major League baseball player for the New York Yankees. The third baseman is a three-time American League Most Valuable Player and 12-time All-Star. Rodriguez previously played for the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners. Rodriguez has two of the largest contracts in sports history, signing a 10-year, $252 million deal with the Rangers and a 10-year, $275 million contract with the Yankees. Rodriguez, also commonly known by his nickname "A-Rod," is one of 25 members of the 500 Home Run Club and currently ranks 8th all-time on the career home run list. In February 2009, Rodriguez admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs between 2001-03 with the Rangers after a Sports Illustrated report was published.
