Robinho Brazil Nice Football Player Biography

Full Name : Robson de Souza
Place of Birth : Sao Vicente, Brazil
Date of Birth : 25-1-84
Nationality : Brazil
Position : Striker
Current Club : AC Milan

Robson de Souza (born January 25, 1984 in São Vicente, Brazil), nicknamed Robinho (Little Robson), is a Brazilian footballer currently playing for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team. Robinho has earned praise for his expert use of the pedalada and field speed. He is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world.

Born in Parque Bitaru, a poor neighborhood of São Vicente, Robinho took to playing football when he had little other. At six, Robinho was taken on by Beira-Mar, a local escolinha, and they took the championship in his first year.[1] Robinho was claimed to look just like his teammate Marcelo, the spanish fans called them "the two twins".
In 1993, at the age of nine, Robinho drew attention by scoring 73 goals for the Portuários futsal team. Robinho joined the Santos youth program, at the time was overseen by Brazilian football legend Pelé. Pelé brought Robinho into the Santos FC youth dorms, where Robinho received his first regular schedule of three meals a day.

In 2002, Robinho graduated to the Santos first team. His work at the front helped them win the Brazilian National Championships in 2002 and 2004, as well as place second to Boca Juniors in the 2003 Copa Libertadores. Robinho's contributions to Santos attracted a great deal of attention from the top European football clubs. A world class player that looks to be on the verge of a European move.
Robinho's skill drew the offers of several European clubs, but it took the kidnapping of his mother in late 2004 to convince him to leave. On July 31, 2005, Robinho signed with Real Madrid for five years at $30 million and joined his fellow Brazilian internationals Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Júlio Baptista. He made his La Liga debut on August 28 in a 2-1 victory against Cádiz as a second half substitute for Thomas Gravesen. In his first season, Robinho scored eight goals, but the arrival of José Antonio Reyes has brought the length of Robinho's stay into question. One of his most recent performances though, in the "El Clásico" against Barcelona, which he earned the Man of the Match award may have impressed Fabio Capello. It has been reported that on 12th February Robinho may be allowed to leave Real Madrid for a fee of €30 million at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Robinho backed again that decision saying he'd like to prove himself that he is capable of impressing his coach and teammates.

Sue Bird U.S.A Basketball Star Profile & Biography

Born:October 16, 1980 (age 31) Syosset, New York
Nationality: American
Height: 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m)
Weight: 150 lb (68 kg)
College: Connecticut
Draft:1st overall, 2002 Seattle Storm
Profile: WNBA Info Page

Suzanne Brigit Bird was born in suburban Long Island on October 16, 1980. Her mother, Nancy, was a high school nurse, and her father, Herschel, a cardiologist. She has one sister, Jennifer. Everyone called Sue “Peanut” when she was a kid. She was always happy and energetic—unless she lost at a game, even something as mundane as Candyland. Then her mood would turn dark, and she would become unapproachable.

Sue’s earliest basketball memory was a trip to see the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks play in Madison Square Garden in 1988. She recalls a dunk by Michael Jordan, but not much else. A pro hoops career was about the farthest thing from her mind at the time.

Sports was a big part of growing up in Syosset, and Sue was one of those kids instantly better than her classmates at almost every activity she tried. Her best sports were soccer, tennis, track and basketball. A combination of great coordination and an unquenchable thirst for victory propelled her throughout her childhood.

Sara Errani Italian Female Tennis Player

Born : 29/04/1987 in Bologne (ITA)
Height : 164 cm
Weight : 60 kg
Type : Right hand, 2 handed backhand
Pro since : 2002
Atp/Wta : 45
Residence : Bologne (ITA)

Sara enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music (esp. pop), following soccer and basketball and playing Monopoly, cards and computer games. She describes herself as timid, happy and responsible.

Sara tried a few different sports (football, swimming, athletics) before settling on tennis. She first got picked to represent Italy at the age of 12, in an international tournament in Auray (France). The same year, she went to the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy in Florida, USA, where she stayed for 10 months. She didn't speak a word English when she arrived, and is the youngest player ever to stay there without parents. Sara said about this time: "...it was quite hard, I was crying nearly every day, but I didn't say a word to mum and dad, because I knew my family was making an effort and I didn't want to fail...". After this year, Sara went back to Italy and at the age of 14 she started to play in the Under 18 ITF circuit. When she was 15 years and 7 months old, she became the best Italian player Under 18, which she stayed until she turned 18.
Despite her promising results, Sara found it hard to become a professional player in Italy. She didn't receive a lot of support from coaches and other people who were professionally involved in tennis. They didn't seem to have a lot of faith in her abilities as a player, probably because of her small physique. For this reason, at the age of 17, Sara decided to move to Spain, where she found the perfect circumstances for her to train and to become a successful tennisplayer. After Sara won her second WTA title, in Portoroz in 2008, she said: "...I want to dedicate this victory to all the Italians that never believed in me as a tennis player, and always said I would never go anywhere."
